More than a tablet; not yet a wallscreen

Shortly after Stanford’s 41-28 loss to USC on Saturday evening in a nationally televised ABC game, I tweeted the following:

Incidentally, this is the first time I’ve watched a football game on television at my own place since I think Feb. 1, 2004, when New England beat Carolina in Super Bowl XXXVIII.

In 2020, when the pandemic made going out to watch sporting events at bars an unacceptably risky proposition, I watched games at home on a roughly 10-year-old iPad. In 2021, when I’d temporarily moved back in with my parent after departing North Carolina, I watched football on my parent’s television. When I wasn’t using my parent’s television — which was most of the time, Stanford football games excepted — I watched videos on my laptop.
